Introducing the book Erto
"I think one always hopes calls, signs, keys, omens. One lives through daily reading hustle, routines, than usual.
One such call or cry, tomecino was this artist, writer, he made to leave it to prsent with his new play, in the latest version of the International Book Fair of Santiago Mapocho Station. This is the text which was released the book "Tales from amnesia" in this fair.

How Tomé present let alone? The site from which we come. And even one could argue the theory that is the place where we all come, because if the mother and Padreda this subject and decided to nominate him must have been some signs Ignat, inextricable and lucid-intuitive raves

Well, one could argue that Uncle Charles lost a link in this site and that his nephew through DNA testing, it would ring in the chain needed to understand our connection with certain monkeys: no "But all in order. We are here called by the reality of literature and not science fictional speculation.
paraphrase Guillermo Tellier, Darwin would say that Rodriguez is a writer-laric. Laric LAR, household, nursery. He never has deboning of our Tomé to write, love to live.
Tome is a town that sheltered the writer Alfonso Alcalde, Rafael Ampuero the painter, the sculptor Vicente Gajardo, James Evans and Cecilia, my aunt, iconoclastic artist, new wave, and many other artists.

was the place intended port to send to California aboard the wheat harvested in spring-Inside (Rafael, San Carlitops, California). And who by chance Dekle destination starts to build one of the first myth: How a city-spring-port grain became an industrial city?
Californians Gringos one of his trips are wrong and instead of sending in the big boat, the arduous and stormy Strait of Magellan by Joseph Conrad, agricultural machinery, textile machinery sent. When disarming the boxes are weighed with this surprise: we return here and finish off the condor? Is finished, is acquired and discovered that wet conditions are perfect for dyeing and fabric development. And so was founded in 1865 a few years of the industrial revolution, the Bellavista Textile Factory Tomé., Then come Sheep and FIAP. With this random Acontecimento this small dock that was Tomé, becomes a city.
The acquiring industrial pioneer status provides emerging and stormy political and literary movements that remain to this day. I took today have a high rate of unemployment by the closure of its plant since it was added to the recent cataclysm that struck strongly, especially in Dichato and Coliumo. But there is something strange about these people: it has an unbeatable seafront reintempretar tenacity and ability to the facts. There is something in the DNA that makes beating them with other rhythms.
A special copy of these tomecinoses our Darwin. In his years of life has been a permanent and vital cultural actor Tome, the City would not be the same if I had not had his intense habitation. (One can live in and visit different places in the course of a life, but living them in the plethora of Drawin, it is profoundly different.)
Your audsencia, they say, was noted for his exile in Canada, although I think he never left and this is just one more of his stories.
again revolutionized aarivo In this site-site-and convened numerous meetings and movements at the same permanent and consistently exercised his writing.
Today, consolidated as manager of the original revolutionary Outdoor-publishing a valuable contribution to the literature tomecina and the region, presents his latest and decantadaobra: "Tales from Amnesia." It tells of fateful events of the period of the 1973 military coup. Are different angles of a painful event, but the important thing is the special places where it is situated. Darwin made from the total literature: it is as if when he was living the metral its Quiriquina encarcelaciçón on the island and other events would have thought that it was all just a story and it transmits. What horrendous situations leave it to the horrific. The highlights the beautiful, playful and silly and contradictory human condition, and does so masterfully, with considerable competencies of observation and interpretation.
Having the privilege of access to these "Tales from amnesia" Noas review that not only allows us to forget trying period relegating the neighbor last century, as part of our lives had not been there, but if you read us by the hand of an expert and colloquial pen, to have a hope in the human species is, I believe, one of the artist's work primig'çenias: to perpetuate life. Here in a poetic effort, fully achieved.

Pentecostal Women: Construction of gender through religious experience
Women are the strength and heart of the Pentecostal churches. They give life and sustain its operation, practicing solidarity among its members, cooperation and reciprocity. Care about their church and its parishioners with a quiet turmoil dedicated to God - your man. Pentecostal women are central to most of the activities of his congregation, except for those involving institutional decisions and policies. For that they are men. This active participation while invisible, reaffirms (and build) a gender identity reproduces inequality and domination that characterize gender relations in our society. From a critical and self-reflective, understanding gender differences as social constructs, Social Psychologist Zicri Orellana allows us to immerse ourselves in the pentecostal experience of being a woman in Chile. It does so by speaking of a holding over spaces of freedom, and yet continues to focus on the care of others in the private sphere, in the prevalence of feelings, of the reproductive and domestic. In the words of the author: the inclusion in the church is an extension of private space, hindering integration to the world public, that would be the space of recognition and which is related to power. The arguments in this book, for understanding the complex networks of power of the Pentecostal church, while gender relations that occur within it. At the same time speaks of the possibilities of resistance within these networks of relationships, giving us an evocative text and a huge potential for subversion of gender relations in our society.

Over the years, responsible for opening the drawer Blops impressive, and place their contribution in the high Chilean music timeless.
The map of our musical memory hides many treasures buried by bad market or by the indolence of those who decide what is revealed and what is closed to large audiences. Review the files and read over and over again that Popular Mechanics is "the best kept secret in rock chileno" sounds like a good compliment, but also a statement of consequences and ultimately unfair stigma.

is tempting to wonder how different would have been the fate of the group in other conditions, but more important is finding his admirable desire to establish their own musical and poetic parameters, and to withdraw from the cliches of a generation delivered to the British conquest in the nineties.
In the following pages of this book are the members of Popular Mechanics, his close associates, family, journalists and other witnesses who rebuild their testimonies chapters of the biography of the band.
Memories of those early days in Arica singer and bassist Manuel García Mario Villalobos, the first steps in the capital, groups Andante and previously as Korea, Argentina connection guitarist Diego Alvarez, little known episodes as the association with the philosopher Humberto Giannini disk The House of Asterion, and countless stories of musicians and their environment are present in the story. Now that Manuel Garcia has found popularity as elusive solo better than Popular Mechanics provides for an open end and indecipherable. How have good records.

JOHN CAMERON

Taxi Driver, Egor Mardones, accounts, in each of the trends and locations of a healthy young poetry in Chile, generated from different aesthetic, and with some promising projection in the space of our language.

Mardones Egor's case is different. Common name and in the poetry of the area of \u200b\u200bConcepción, and in the same national discourse, remained as yet unpublished books of his authorship question. His appearances in the best journals in the field, as in Cuadernos Lar, capital of Concepción, Southern Poetry Notebooks and anthologies of poetry Fifteen years Concepción (1989). Echoes of Silence (1988), Poetic Geography of Chile (1998) and 1999 Concepción do an author known and recognized in the art. poetics Mardones is linked in the historical and world vision to other already established authors
in the area, as in the case of Thomas Harris, Nicholas Micah and Alexis Figueroa, whose aesthetic positions arise within the university and is manifest through PostScript magazines and back. This group appears as a distinct and competitive option compared to the experimental trends of the capital back in the 80's. It is a learned poetry and committed to the current theory, at least for those years. So much so that the foreword, Professor Soledad Bianchi, can not help
the temptation to write a preface under the same parent, which in Chile is already trite and tiresome, with frequent references to Walter Benjamin, Walter Ong and other prestigious linguists or philosophers. In any case, the poetry of self-worth Mardones without recommendations or sponsors. One of the most notorious in his poetry is the incorporation of elements belonging to the urban language and, where possible, those that connote an ultra modern.

"Sitting at the wheel of the taxi /
emerge from a fog /

as those
preceding
performances by rock bands /
and slowly entered the stage
/ the streets of the citi /
to page White /
the radiant darkness
/ cinema room "
are the opening lines of poems. The simple choice of a world charged with the black , as a vital element, compared to white is the absence of all, implies the need to be placed in the "bad" side of society, in the path of the cynic and not on the hypocritical.
An attempt that the author succeeds in wrapping picture in picture and then the text developed by the semantic field.
Mardones's book saw the light thanks to a generous draft Darwin Rodriguez under the auspices of
Regional Government. Mardones was born in Tome, in 1957, and studied English at the University of Concepción, in the Austral de Valdivia, the Catholic Valparaiso and the del Valle in Cali, Colombia.
Taxi Driver (2009) is his first delivery.

PREFACE TO THE ZEBRA
MAGIC AND THE VALLEY.

Preliminary

1.
Valley, as water is green. Sources thirsty god-languages-are among the grasses, trees and horses grazing. No one is pastor. Only a herd of clouds in the sky. Soon to be dispersed, the wind exercise their grazing reverse, when the sun (angry tiger, rooster in flames, red deer), white-devour his sheep. Birds!

Zebra scampers over the valley. Hunters (oh king's envoys hungry!) Are chasing themselves, because they are fully lined (merge themselves with Zebras: prey). The zebra-stream of white thread-skips surly, among the crags, safe from the falconer's eye: lame). Wild, God discerned, with one eye: the sun. The look, squint. Eye. Pastor of zebras. Did you see? "The valley is white, now? At the fold, the fold!

Up, God is air, the sky is a bird!

Sometimes words and letters are flying ... Sometimes at certain times of the day, life, words, and his lyrics are able to cut the argument finer and more intense air. At other times, both, word and letter are willing to be accompanied in perfect harmony. It is also true that words have the ability to fly at the speed of a spit and crash into things, against people.

So are Alicia (s) that presents the writer Angela Neira, their voices, their words, have at times the blade of a sickle, sometimes the harmony of a guitar and sometimes also that spit out their window-mouths. So The three scenes in the life of Alicia (s) , connect us with our recollections, our fears, our joys, our sorrows, our most intimate experiences. We connect with the lives of hundreds of women, with the lives of our mothers and sisters. Is Angela Neira why we said that

For this reason and because the two authors of this group are young people with a future as historians from the front, this book is very welcome.

Welcome also is the focus on workers took in a neoliberal era in which the importance of workers and their contributions to national development are underestimated and denigrated. In his "theoretical justification the study, "Hannibal Navarrete presents his book as an heir of the great new wave of social history in Chile in recent decades, and stresses the need to "re-humanize" the discipline from below, focusing on local history and using oral history to rescue the working memory.

seems incredible that in the XXI century there are communities that have their own historians, even more so when they started the celebrations of the bicentennial of our national independence and there are endless activities that tend to remember our past. This is mainly due to the belief that the Mega-history of Chile is now complete, however, this is not so, in recent times has gained prominence in the historiography of local micro-stories-stories. Clearly the advantages they have these on the first because they collect a lot of events and characters, but mostly entrenched local identity.
